Rob McEntegart has over 25 years of experience in the business and legal affairs of motion picture, television and digital content production and exploitation, specializing in the business affairs of development, production, financing and distribution for features and television series. Rob served as Senior Executive Vice President, Motion Picture Group for Lionsgate during the development, production and release of THE HUNGER GAMES, and was responsible for overseeing the film division’s business and legal affairs. Prior to Lionsgate, Rob was Executive Vice President, Business Affairs for Mandate Pictures (JUNO, STRANGER THAN FICTION, HAROLD & KUMAR) and its joint venture with Sam Raimi, Ghost House Pictures (THE GRUDGE, DRAG ME TO HELL). At Mandate he was responsible for development and production business and legal affairs, and negotiated domestic distribution deals with Universal, New Line, Fox Searchlight, Miramax, Summit and a four picture deal with Sony.

Rob has proven expertise with deals for rights, talent, production personnel, and financing and distribution of entertainment content, especially for feature films and series for television and SVOD. He has negotiated on behalf of producers and leading content companies for the services of major talent, for the acquisition of rights to screenplays, fiction and non-fiction books, comic books, video games, remake rights and life story rights, as well as for domestic distribution of features (both seller side and buyer side) and foreign sales. Rob has been the architect of complex rights and talent deal structures and profit participation arrangements designed to suit different business models.

The feature films and TV projects which Rob has worked on include pictures directed by Ridley Scott, Terrence Malick, Sam Raimi and Tim Burton. In addition to business affairs, his work has included production legal services or supervision of production legal on over 100 film and TV productions since 1990.
